How usage is counted, and when it stops
- What is counted?
- Signatures are counted when completed; the ledger counts new appends. Failures, retries, resends of the same content, reads, and deletions are not counted. Months follow the UTC calendar.
- What happens at the cap?
- New operations for that function stop until the end of the month, and nothing past the cap is billed. You can raise the cap in the console (up to USD 2,000 for signatures and USD 800 for the ledger). Beyond that, the cap is set under the Enterprise plan. Apps in the same Org share one cap per function.
- Pay as you go, or monthly?
- Up to 130 signatures a month, pay as you go is cheaper; above that, the monthly plan is. An Org can't have both at once: starting the monthly plan ends pay as you go at the end of the period.
- What if a payment fails?
- Only that function stops. It resumes once the payment goes through.
- What happens if I cancel?
- You can keep using it until the end of the period. Signature records already issued stay verifiable after you cancel.
- Can I try it for free?
- A card is required, but the first 30 signatures each month are not billed. The billing cap starts at USD 0, so signing stops at the 31st and nothing is charged by surprise. To keep going, raise the cap in the console (USD 1 per signature from then on).
